It Cosmetics CC+ Cream Review:
I am very picky when it comes to my foundation. I absolutely despise anything close to cakey and would rather go bare-faced than deal with detectable foundation. When I first saw the It Cosmetics infomercial, I was convinced it wasn’t for me because it was such heavy coverage. Nothing lightweight and natural could produce those kinds of results!
Turns out that I was wrong. I bought a tube of the CC cream to see if it’s really all that. The shade selection was quite narrow, so I opted for ‘Light’ seeing as I was on the cusp of my lightest tan, teetering on the edge between my pasty self and something resembling a human. While the Light shade turned out to be just a hint darker than I needed it to be, the cream blended in well and provided flawless coverage that not even the wrong shade could disturb.
I was an immediate convert. I hate spending hours blending foundation in for heavier coverage, opting for quick BB or CC creams that I can rub into my face quickly to get out the door. This one gave me the ease of quick coverage but also the look of a flawless foundation routine. I kid you not, it came close to my beloved Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. At a $64 vs $39, the price difference is $25 and the results are both impeccable, allowing me to save the pricier Giorgio Armani foundations for special occasions.
Overall, it’s smoothing, color-correcting, brightening, lasts all day and easy to blend. The biggest complaint? Not enough shades! This is a very limited shade collection, and it requires the mixing of multiple shades in order to get the perfect match.
