How freaking amazing is this bout of summertime weather in spring? It reached mid-70s yesterday! The streets are a lot more crowded, especially around the area I live (by Empire State Building). But, the onslaught of tourists is something all New Yorkers have to deal with come the summer months. This will be our first summer where we’ll be taking more trips upstate to our country home. I think I officially entered the ranks of historic New York vibes- escaping the city when the rest of the world visits the gridlock.
I mentioned in a previous post that I’m trying to focus on getting myself in shape, so I’ve been following the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide lately. Holy crap. Has anyone tried this thing? The results look amazing, but it’s kicking my ass so bad that I’m worried I won’t be able to stick with it. We’ll see what happens. I definitely feel every single muscle in my body, and although I don’t weigh myself (I don’t own a scale), I’ll be keeping track of how I’m toning up based on how my clothes fit.
