Every once in a while (usually right around fashion week) I get closet cabin fever and go on a shopping rampage. I’m trying to really restrain myself since I often get shopper’s remorse. I don’t know what it is about me, but even if I truly LOVE the item, I always think about how much I spent on a shopping spree. I hope I’m not the only one that gets super tight with clothes budgets.
Actually, interestingly enough, I don’t really shop that often throughout the year. That gets tough when you’re a fashion blogger! I have to figure out creative ways to rotate my closet items and give new twists in my photos. Maybe that explains why I don’t post as many outfit photos as other bloggers.

I’ve always found that spending money on experiences and on personal growth items fulfilled me so much more. I don’t hesitate to invest in my career (in my blog, camera equipment, education) or on travel.
That said, I’m still obsessed with fashion, and I’m still a fashion blogger at heart. When I want to splurge, I do my research and stalk out an item I know will make my closet into a gallery where other collectors can admire the work. So now that stores are stocking fall 2016 clothing, I’m spending a lot more time making wish lists.
