Even though our girl Kendall didn’t walk the NYFW runways this season, we still got a dose of beautiful from the designers. Keeping up with the times, the designers blurred gender lines and made a splash with Pantone’s color prediction for next year. Flame Scarlet, Saffron, and Classic Blue led the pack in terms of hues while animal print continued with their field day.
What’s the scoop so far? We’re seeing a ton of ’80s influences carrying us through until next year, especially in the beauty sphere. The emphasis is on imperfectly placed watercolor shadows and Bowie-esque touches. Carrying on with the fashion evolution, diversity ruled. We saw models from all walks of life, including proper plus size, older models and new moms with their toddlers! Not only did the girls walk, but boys joined with unisex looks. This is a new era of fashion, inviting everyone to join in on the fun.
While we’ll see how the trends shape up with London, Paris, and Milan, we have a pretty solid foundation of trends to go on from New York so far.
