Using It:

Using the provided spoon, mix a small amount of the powder with another treatment of similar acidity level, or with a neutral agent like hyaluronic acid or moisturizer. Don’t use on broken skin and stop if irritation occurs. Tingling is normal. Ideally, use in the PM.

The Ordinary 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder Review:

This is my second time attempting Vitamin C powder in my skin. The first time, I got irritated at the fussiness of using it. I had to ensure the products I was using it with were in the right pH range, it was a pain to mix, and it left a sticky feeling. This time around, I decided to bite the bullet and do the treatment in the PM only using other The Ordinary bottles as mixing agents.

The nature of this jar makes things a bit easier than my previous experience. The opening is wide, so it’s easy to break up any clumps that form and get a small around using the little spoon. As a result, there isn’t unnecessary spillage and clean-up. The formula has a strong smell since it’s pure vitamin C powder. If you’ve used vitamin C products in the past, you’ll be familiar with it. It’s not unpleasant, just distinct.

One thing to note is you can’t mix this with certain things, so you have to have your skin routine pat-down. Don’t use this with peptides, niacinamide, and The Ordinary EUK 134. Reviewers swear by using it with marine hyaluronics, but I did it with my regular hyaluronic acid before applying my moisturizer.

This powder is magic for making your skin super soft, smooth and making hyperpigmentation and blemishes disappear in a short period of time! While I don’t use it daily, it’s in my skincare routine 2-3 times a week interspersed with other treatments. Highly suggest using this product.
