L’Oréal Collagen Moisture Filler Facial Day Night Cream Review:
Trying this moisturizer was a bit of a mixed feelings bag for me. I consciously choose not to buy or use products or brands that actively test on animals. However, my husband got this moisturizer for me as a holiday gift. Bless his soul, he didn’t know what a moisturizer even was a few years ago, so he’s not as keen on the research background of products. He’s learning slowly.
That said, I tried it. It was here, there was no going back, and I set my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Moisturizer aside to test this little package out. First impressions? It definitely smells like an old school moisturizer. The added fragrance is serious in this little jar, so if you have sensitive skin, the formula might not be the right fit. I tend to lean on the sensitive side, but it didn’t make my skin act up, so I continued to use it.
The formula absorbs extremely well, keeping skin moisturized all night and all day, so it definitely does what it says.

- L’Oréal is NOT a cruelty-free brand, which is a big thumbs down from us. Despite making strides toward not testing on animals, they still choose to sell in areas that require animal testing by law, primarily China.
- There are over 6 fragrancing ingredients, including “fragrance,” which doesn’t make this product sensitive-skin friendly.
- It contains tocopherol (vitamin E), which is a great anti-oxidant but might be comedogenic on acne-prone skin.
