First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration Review:

This is my miracle product I recommend to everyone who crosses my path. If there’s one must-have for your medicine cabinet, it’s this moisturizer by FAB. I first started using it when I went through a bout of perioral dermatitis. My skin basically freaked out on me and refused to act normally after I overwhelmed it with too many products. The ultra repair cream was my go-to moisturizer to keep my skin hydrated through its intense flare-up.

A few ingredients, specifically the stearic acid, which is an emollient, has a comedogenic rating that might cause clogged pores if your skin is acneic or extremely sensitive skin. My skin type is normal/combination, and it works extremely well without inducing any acne flare-ups or clogged pores.

The formula doesn’t contain any alcohol or fragrance, so it’s a great recovery product for those who are trying to keep skin calm and steady. It also functions extremely well as a morning moisturizer, since its lightweight texture is just enough to last through the day and keep skin hydrated. Some people report it’s not the best to wear under makeup, however, since too much rubbing in might cause microexfoliation, but I’ve never experienced this myself and find the product to be highly absorbent.

It’s a solid buy that I always have in my repertoire, no matter if I have other moisturizers I’m cycling through. This is my solid trusty.

Notable Ingredients

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glyceryl Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Squalane, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Allantoin, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Chrysanthemum Parthenium (Feverfew) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (White Tea) Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Ceramide-3, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract.

  • FAB is cruelty-free! This formula is also alcohol and fragrance-free.
  • Stearic Acid and Glyceryl Stearate have a higher comedogenic rating which may cause clogged pores and acne.
  • The white tea leaf extract is an anti-oxidant, an antimicrobial and a UV protectant. It’s also excellent for reducing redness, acting as an anti-inflammatory.
