Before You Buy: Amika Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo

Product: Amika Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo
Price: $20

Using It:

Massage a dollop from the scalp and run down the hair strands. Don’t rub the hair, just cover with the shampoo and scrub the scalp a bit. Keep it on for a little bit longer than a typical shampoo and rinse off well.

Amika Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo Review:

I’m not big on scents usually, but this one smells amazing! I was looking forward to using this shampoo even after I switched back to brown hair. Yes, I kept using it just for the scent alone.

Aside from the great scent, this shampoo goes a LONG way with just a small amount. It’s a high amount of pigment, so you need a small dollop to lather up and cover your entire head of hair. Start small and build if you need a bit more. I was pleasantly surprised that it lasted me well over four months for just one bottle.

My hair was an ashy blonde tone, not platinum blonde, so keep that in mind when choosing any purple shampoo and conditioner set. It might be a bit too much for everyday use if you’re looking to keep your hair very light and bright, and it might be best to use this on a weekly basis, rotating with another shampoo.

The negative part is that this shampoo is drying on already-dry strands. You must have a nourishing conditioner to follow it up with. The Amika conditioner is very nourishing if you’d like to double up. Make sure to also use a conditioning mask while using this shampoo.

It does deliver what it promises in between salon visits, and tones down the brassiness quite a bit, though I’m not sure this can’t be achieved with a purple conditioner alone.

  1. Most people have no knowledge of the fact that scalp therapy shampoos for fast hair growth (of course with no sulfates, no parabens, no DEA) exist. Persons are now able to possess longer hair and have more alternatives. Definitely worth investigating.

When you’re going over hair loss, hair damage, avoiding scalp disorders, fast hair growth, hair care normally, similar principles apply.

In general, you want to steer clear of hair products and treatments that use chemicals like parabens, DEA or sulfates.

What’s good for your hair is beneficial for your skin all the same.

Clearly your content on this page is so useful for many reasons. It stays away from the common pitfalls and mistakes most fall into: getting bad alternatives. Keep up the great content!
