Using It:

The shadows apply best on a wet base/primed lid. My favorite is the P.Louise Eyeshadow Base, which makes these colors POP. Press the color into the lid to saturate before using a fluffy brush to blend out.

Ace Beaute Slice Of Paradise Palette Review:

This small indie beauty brand launched in 2016 with a wide selection of false lashes before expanding into colorful cosmetics. With the motto “Beauty for All,” Ace Beaute delivers a wide variety of colors suitable for everyone. The Slice of Paradise palette is a rainbow palette that provides a wide opportunity for experimentation with wild looks while still allowing for demure application.

My hazel eyes gravitate toward purple shades, to make the green flecks pop. You’d think my brush would immediately dabble in the lower left quadrant of this palette, but I actually found myself reaching for the bright yellow hue in the top left first.

First, the organization. If you’re new to bright color palettes, Ace Beaute made color mixing super easy by grouping three complimentary shades together in each quadrant.

Upper left:

  1. Daffodil (matte)- Bright Yellow
  2. Persimmon (matte)- Tangerine Orange
  3. Passion Fruit (matte)- Blood Orange

Upper right:

  1. Flamingo (matte)- Flesh Pink
  2. Rose Finch (matte)- True Magenta
  3. Starling (matte)- Bright Violet

Lower left:

  1. Peacock (metallic)- Berry
  2. Honeyberry (matte)- True Purple
  3. Macaw (matte)- Cobalt blue

Lower right:

  1. Bluebell (matte)- Bright baby blue
  2. Fruit Dove (metallic)- Bright Teal
  3. Kiwi (matte)- Leafy Green

If you’re not sure which colors will blend well together, you can’t go wrong with the shades to the left of right of it on the palette. Looking to have contrasting but well-matched color combos? Combine the top and bottom shades.

I decided to go all out and experiment with the full rainbow. You can achieve a pretty great watercolor effect with the colors when using dry, but I highly recommend using a primer. After laying my P.Louise Base, I started dabbing on the colors side by side before blending them out.

The color payoff is incredible for the price! The bright, vivid hues blend seamlessly with minimal fallout. Make sure to use a flat brush to pack the color on the lid before using a fluffy brush to blend the colors in!

These are true, vivi hues that work beautifully individually or blended together. You can’t go wrong with the color combinations, and even someone without much blending experience can work the colors into a beautiful, seamless finish. Just make sure to use separate brushes for different colors to ensure none of them get muddy.

After pairing the look with some black liner and my Kiss Falscara lashes, I was ready to Netflix and chill, because we’re still in lock-down, kids.

The final look.
