I used to be excellent at goal setting when I worked a 9 to 5. I came in with the day’s intentions in mind, kept a tidy to-do list, and broke down my bigger goals into subsections. I also used to get all my work done within the span of the first few hours and then sit at my desk twiddling my thumbs. In the office, I was bored out of my mind, but now that I’m blogging full time, I can totally make use of those extra few hours a day (i.e. PLAYTIME)!

Goal setting should become your priority every month if you want to start seeing progress and continue growing! After studying the patterns of many successful bloggers (who make 500k+ a year) and entrepreneurs, I noticed they all have one thing in common: they frequently set and analyze their goals!
In order to make things manageable, break down your yearly goal into monthly subsections. Now go a step further and break down your monthly goals into smaller, actionable goals. When you’re done with the month, ANALYZE YOUR RESULTS. Don’t forget this step. This is where you learn what worked/what didn’t in order to grow and move forward.
I’m going to get this party started by stating my goal for the year ahead and my sub-goal for the month of June. I know that starting the “year” in June is a little strange, but there’s no way I’m going to let the calendar’s standards define when my blogging growth begins. 😉
You can download the same goal planner I’m using at the resource section.
My goal for the next 12-months: Reach a six-figure salary from blogging.
