Lately I’ve really been into infographics. These are great little (well, big) flashcards for quick bursts of information. The one below is courtesy of Greatist. I’ve been really focusing a lot more on my nutrition and on the effect it has on my energy levels as well as workout efficacy. I’ve come a long way nutritionally and I’m proud of the changes I’ve made (i.e. increased protein intake, greatly reduced/cut out refined carbs, replaced fat intake with healthy fats like avocados). However, I still have a long way to go.
Infographics like this one allows us to quickly get information we need to make sound choices without having to completely turn into a fitness/nutritional buff. As a result, I highly encourage them. The easier it is for people to quickly gather healthy tid-bits, the quicker they can make healthier choices. Give it a quick look over, save it for later, and/or print it out for reference. On that note, I’m off to a rowing class. That’s right..rowing. I’m pretty excited to find out how it’ll go. It seems like rowing studios are popping up all over the city. Not sure if it’s a temporary trend or if it’s here to stay yet. Either way, I’m a full believer of rowing as a great full body exercise for both cardio and building muscles. Off to row I go.
