I’ve been happily situated in San Francisco over the past day, enjoying the non-blizzard weather that NYC is once again hit with. This weather is perfect for many of the looks on the runways right now, and I can’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment with the fact that I can’t wear these runway looks at this moment.
These eight looks (in no particular order) from Milan Fashion Week’s Day 5 shows seem like the perfect way for me to play with my style without feeling like I’m stepping out of my preferential boundaries. I’m really trying to incorporate more color into my wardrobe- I found it hard to pack outfits when nearly everything in my closet is black or neutral. Texture seems to be the answer for a lot of tonal looks, so I’ll be looking to incorporate more texture elements into my wardrobe. I also want to try at least one outfit where the coat and the under-layer match with fabric or print, which a few of these looks reference.
